August Announcements

Here are our last-of-the-summer happenings...we hope to catch you out & about, taking advantage of all that summer has to offer! 

Two Wednesdays left for "Kiddin' Around" at the Westgate Church playground.  Join us August 7th and 14th from 9 - 11am.  Each week will have different activities/crafts planned, so pack a lunch and sunscreen and join in!

Thursday, August 8th Mom's Night Out at Liz Ditty's house: "Martinis & Manicures" @ 7:30PM, 2485 Stokes Street, San Jose CA 95128.

• Come escape for a Mom's Night Out you don't want to miss!  Enjoy dinner with your family and then duck out for some girl time. A great chance to meet some moms, enjoy adult conversation, and take a moment to give yourself a manicure or pedicure!  Martinis & basic mani/pedi supplies will be on hand.  You can bring a favorite nail color or nail tools and/or a snack to share- but hey, if it's been "one of those weeks" (we've all been there) just bring yourself to take a breath and relax.

Tuesday, August 13th "Just Dance Free Mommy & Me" from 10am-12pm at Santana Row, hosted by Rebecca Taylor.

• Join Rebecca, Audrey, & Baby Amelia for a morning full of fun moving and grooving (and maybe even a little window shopping). Rebecca will have her MOPS bag with her and likely be sporting a Baby Bjorn with infant inside!  Details can be found here: http://www.santanarow.com/events/mommy_events/

Thursday, August 15th has been named "Play Date Day" by MOPS International.  This is an opportunity for you to reach out to another mom, get together, and enjoy the day with kids in tow.  It's also a great way to share with others about MOPS and invite them to our Kick Off Meeting on Friday, September 20th. Be sure to post photos of your play dates on our  Facebook page!

Saturday, August 24th will be our last Family Potluck & BBQ of the season hosted by Christine Millar.  Join us from 4-8PM at the Millars place, 1132 Lovell Ave, Campbell, CA 95008

• We're calling the whole family--dads, moms, and kids!--to enjoy an evening together before MOPS ramps up and Fall is underway.  The Millar family will provide hotdogs and hamburgers; you may include in your RSVP the dish you'll bring.
