Let me encourage you to plunge into God’s deep refreshing love this Advent. Sometimes it’s hard to feel particularly spiritual in the hustle and bustle, but take just a minute to sit down and quiet your heart. Drink in (no, gulp) the fact that two thousand years ago, God of the universe became a sweet cuddly baby, born with the sole purpose of dying for you.
The God who holds the stars in the sky and knows the number of hairs on your head (even the highlighted ones!) loves you so much he took the plunge into humanity for you. He loved because your life depended on it.
Being deeply loved makes all that Christmas craziness a little easier, doesn’t it? Every cookie you bake, every ribbon you curl and every dollar you spend is simply an overflow of God’s generous, crazy, over-the-top love. So take the plunge and generously share all God’s given you. Because of you, everyone gets a little taste of his wild, crazy love."
